Almonds are great foods.
However, raw almonds can be a little hard to digest. In addition, roasted ones often have oxidized fats.
To get around this, I even used to try to sprout my own at home. It’s pretty hard to sprout them, though, and they often comeout mushy or moldy.
Kirin’s dad is a broker of nuts and dried fruits and he showed Americona brand sprouted almonds.
Every now and then he had a sample he would share with us and we went through them in no time at all.
As it happens, Americonas sprout in olive oil to prevent mold from forming. They taste better than any raw or roasted almonds I have ever had in my life.
When I saw that the original Americonas just became available on Amazon Prime, I got so excited I even had to try my circus trick. Guess I’m a little out of practice.
My next wish will be for the Americona almond butter to become available as well.
